Get ready for the 18th annual Sommerfest, a vibrant celebration of classic and youngtimer vehicles set to transform Rastede into a rolling museum! This beloved traditional event, organized by the Old- & Youngtimerclub Rastede, promises a weekend filled with automotive history and community spirit.
Visitors can expect the main street of Rastede to be closed to public traffic, creating a unique venue for showcasing an impressive array of historical vehicles. The event typically draws around 700 cars and motorcycles, catering to enthusiasts of both older classics and more recent youngtimers. While most vehicles can register on-site, those manufactured before 1940 are kindly requested to pre-register. The special exhibition for 2026 will focus on Italian Oldtimers and vehicles manufactured before 1940. Enjoy browsing the vehicles, and take advantage of the open shops, ice cream parlors, cafes, and restaurants that will be open for your convenience. Organized outings are scheduled to depart from 3:00 PM on Saturday.
